Silberbrunn in winter: the hut on the snowy alm, with the mountains of the Hochkönig behind

A Shift to Flow retreat · 1,500 m

Silberbrunn

For people living too close to the edge who need more than a holiday: silence, nature and practice on a sunny alm above Dienten am Hochkönig.

Operated by CoGrow.Space

Chapter I

Before your body stops you.

There is a moment when the world becomes too loud. When the nervous system no longer finds rest, and exhaustion knocks softly at the door.

Silberbrunn is the answer to that knock. A place of silence, high up in the clarity of the Alps, created for people who want to pause in time.

The foundation

Shift to Flow

At Silberbrunn, theory doesn't stay on paper. The insights and practices from the book Shift to Flow are the backbone of every day. In daily practice sessions — about six hours of programme — we learn and practise what nervous system regulation feels like in the body. Silberbrunn is where Shift to Flow becomes lived experience, embedded in the silence and strength of the alm.

Chapter II

The architecture of silence.

No noise, no distraction. Only the crackling of the wood, the scent of stone pine and the wide view over the peaks.

Inside the hut: weathered wood and handcrafted details

Chapter III

Regeneration through rhythm.

Nervous system regulation

Targeted practices and experienced guidance to find your way out of fight-or-flight mode.

A small community

At most 10 guests. A protected space for real exchange and deep rest.

Lived mindfulness

A clear rhythm without rigidity — an organic flow with the elements of nature.

The programme

The daily rhythm.

Your day begins with a gentle morning practice while the mist still hangs over the meadows. You don't just understand why you're exhausted — you feel regulation slowly return. The schedule is a handrail to hold on to when your strength is low.

Morning
Shared morning practice, breakfast and arriving in the day.
Late morning
Two practice and focus phases, with a short pause and shared reflection in between.
Midday
Cooking together, caring for the farm, rest, and a hike or a mindful silent walk.
Afternoon
Further deepening, short moments of reflection, time for wellness or simple farm work.
Evening
Served dinner, evening practice and the transition into a quiet night.

The cycle of a retreat

  1. ArrivingLanding in the place, the group and the rhythm.
  2. Letting goStepping out of pressure and constant activation.
  3. ReorientationSensing what really matters, from a regulated state.
  4. IntegrationTaking the practice home — into everyday life and work.

The eight days take you through the full cycle. With the five-day immersion you join for its second half; with the Mountain Break for the final days on the trail.

Before you book

Is this retreat right for me?

Silberbrunn is a place of practice, not therapy. The retreat does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.

If you are currently in acute burnout, depression, trauma therapy or a crisis, please speak to your doctor or therapist first — and to us before you book.

After booking, we send you a short questionnaire and offer a call, so we can make sure the timing is right for you.

The surroundings

Embedded in nature.

View from the snowy alm across the valley to the mountains Resting in the sun against the wooden wall of the hut A fire burning in the open hearth Hiking on a forest trail near the alm On the trail into the woods A day trip into the valley: by the river in town

Getting there

High up, and easy to reach.

Silberbrunn lies on a south-facing alm at 1,500 m above Dienten am Hochkönig, in the Salzburg Alps — sun from dawn to dusk, meadows, two creeks and its own spring. We meet you in Dienten and take you up the alm track: by jeep in summer, by ski tour in winter.
