The Practice

Lead from flow, not from alarm.

For leaders and change agents who are running on empty in a world that won't slow down. Shift to Flow gives you the map. Here you train — with a coach, with peers or on the mountain — until calm and clarity hold under pressure.

Is this you?

You know what you should do. Under pressure, the old pattern wins.

Sounds familiar?

  • You're always on — and can't switch off, not even on holiday.
  • In hard conversations you react first and regret it later.
  • You carry decisions you can't discuss with anyone inside.
  • Your team agrees in the meeting — and then nothing changes.
  • You've read the books and done the trainings. It didn't last.

What changes when you practise

  • You notice activation before it runs you.
  • You stay present in the conversations you used to avoid.
  • You decide from clarity, not from pressure.
  • You have people who practise with you — and get it.
  • Change starts to hold, because it lives in the body, not only in the head.

Why it works

From the page into practice.

Every chapter of Shift to Flow ends with a Practice Time. Twenty-five practices that build on one another: noticing when you are thinking, coming back to the body, the breath and the ground — and widening your awareness to the people around you, your community and the land you live on.

But the nervous system changes in relationship. When enough nervous systems settle into presence together, a shared field opens that no one could create alone. That's why the book doesn't end with reading — it prepares you to train with others.

“An athlete who trains alone all the time will not be as conditioned as one who is part of a training community.”

Shift to Flow

Five ways in

Choose the way in that fits your situation.

Or on your own, at your own pace: Lead from Flow, the self-paced video course — 25 modules, one per chapter of the book. The first three are free.

01 · With a coach

Every athlete needs a coach.

You know what you should do — but under pressure, the old pattern takes over. Coaching works exactly there, in your real situations: the feedback that still stings, the conflict you keep avoiding, the decision you keep postponing.

We work with the practices from the book and stay with what arises in the body — safely, and at its own pace. That is where what the book calls regenerative moments happen: an old pattern lets go, and energy returns for what comes next. Top athletes have coaches for exactly this.

02 · On the path

Some answers only come while walking.

Walking side by side lowers activation. Many people say things on a trail they would never say in a meeting room. The book calls this a sensing journey: stepping into unfamiliar surroundings, because real understanding needs the bodily and emotional experience — not only the information.

“By walking the path, we heal the scratches in the glass, one at a time.”

03 · With peers

Stop carrying it alone.

Practising alone fades — the book is clear about that. With a group of peers who speak the same language, you become what the book calls a developmental community: each other's crew, meeting at eye level.

“Speaking a common language enables the group to be each other's crew.”

In the book's language, a board is an island of coherence: a small, living prototype of a more evolved culture. Cost should never be the reason someone can't practise — pay-what-you-can and scholarship places are available through the Access Track.

04 · As a team

When your team agrees in the meeting — and then nothing changes.

Behind it are usually tensions nobody names, and nervous systems in alarm. When a leadership team practises together, it can become what the book calls an island of coherence: a small, living prototype of a future-fit culture inside the organisation.

“Organizations are the perfect place to practice together and accelerate growth.”

05 · In a place

When you need more than a holiday.

A holiday helps for a week — then the old rhythm is back. At Silberbrunn, a sunny alm at 1,500 m above Dienten am Hochkönig, the practices shape every day: about six hours of programme, silence, nature and a small group of at most 10 guests. Long enough for a new rhythm to settle.

After the mountain

So the change doesn't fade.

Becoming an athlete of regenerative leadership begins with daily practice — and the book is honest about how quickly the effect of a retreat fades without it. That's why Walk & Talk, the mountain formats, the retreats and the Leadership Team Retreat include three months of the Practice Community: the weekly live class, and people to practise with.

Before you book

Practice, not therapy.

Everything on this page is practice. It does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.

If you are currently in acute burnout, depression, trauma therapy or a crisis, please speak to your doctor or therapist first — and to us before you book. That's one reason every longer format starts with a conversation.

“The principal quality of a good transformational container is safety.”
